Marijuana Plants Seized
The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office received information alleging that marijuana plants were being grown at a residence on Homestead Drive in Ebony, Virginia. The investigation resulted in the seizure of five (5) marijuana plants on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. After making contact with the male subject that occupied the residence, he was identified as Franklin Bernard Ash, 65 years old. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office entered and secured the residence and took Mr. Ash into custody. One bag containing marijuana plant substance and two (2) marijuana cigarettes were also seized from inside the residence. Mr. Ash was arrested and charged with marijuana distribution and is currently being held at the Meherrin River Regional Jail under a $2,500 secure bond.
